==Incident==

19-year-old black male Jayvon Hatchett stabbed a white AutoZone employee seven times after "watching Facebook videos of police shootings."<ref>https://nationalfile.com/autozone-hate-crime-stabber-felt-the-need-to-find-a-white-male-to-kill-police/</ref>

Hatchett entered the parts store asking for a thermostat and after he was informed the store didn't have his part he started to stab the employee multiple times after he turned away from Hatchett. He was captured on surveillance footage entering the store and shortly after, running away from the scene. The 52-year-old victim, Mike, was stabbed seven times, four times in the neck, once in the back, the chest and the hand. He is in "critical condition and has a long road to recovery," according to his GoFundMe.<ref name="gofundme">https://www.gofundme.com/f/24a37gs1o0</ref>

According to court records, Hatchett was free on bond after being charged just three days before the stabbing with criminal damage to property.  Six months ago he was arrested for two felonies including aggravated assault.<ref name="wltz" />
