The mass murder of Dr. Robert Lesslie's family, his grandchildren, and two HVAC technicians by black ex-NFL player (Phillip Adams) occurred on April 8, 2021 when former NFL player Phillip Adams shot Dr. Robert Lesslie, his wife Barbara, and two grandchildren Adah and Noah Lesslie to death.[1] Adams also shot two HVAC technicians who were working on the property, James Lewis and Robert Shook. Lewis was found dead, while Shook was critically injured and hospitalized, but died of his injuries two days later on April 10.[2] All six of the victims were white while Adams was black.

Adams was a former NFL player with the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, and other teams after he played at S.C. State University and Rock Hill High School. His brain was sent to Boston University to be studied for possible brain injuries or CTE due to his football experience.[3]
